    On Ancestry.ca - some family trees have stated the following additional children born to William Wilkie & Henrietta Eaton Philp:
    William Wilkie born 11 May 1810 - Dunfermline
    Janet Wilkie born 01 May 1812 - Dunfermline ( this is a 2nd Janet thus possibly the first one died young)
    Also that John Wilkie & Christian Wilkie are twins their birth date being 22 March 1802l - Dunfermline
    This is unconfirmed by me and certainly my sources of IGI may not be the most accurate either. hw

    I am presuming for the time being a probability exists these may be the parents of my G G Great Grandfather Robert Wilkie. My reasons being that the dates jive and the naming pattern is familiar. Further descendants used the names of Dewar as a middle name for one of the children, suggesting that John Wilkie & Margaret Dewar may also be connected as poss. parents. Further research required to truly verify as fact however.

    As of January 2011, many Wilkie researchers are still clinging to this strong probability - that John Wilkie & Janet Stevenson are indeed the Parents of Robert Wilkie married to Christian Paul,

    However going back from John Wilkie married to Janet Stevenson, the possibilities and probabilities are many - some researchers choosing John Wilkie & Margaret Dewar, others William Wilkie & Margaret Donaldson !!! On and on goes the puzzle HW
