    Mr. David Beath (1906)
On Sunday, all that was mortal of the late David Beath was laid to rest in the Congregational Cemetery. Mr. Beath, who was in his fifty-fourth year has been indisposed for over a year. His demise on Thursday, although expected, still came as a shock to his wife and family, who now mourn his loss deeply. Mr. Beath moved to Oro nineteen years ago from Whitby. He was an active, energetic man and took part in all live topics of the day affecting his own community or township. He was township auditor for several years and on two occasions aspired for the office of councillor. Mr Beath was twice married: five children by his first wife survive him and two children are left with the second wife to mourn the loss of a devoted father and husband. The funeral took place on Sunday. The cortege, extending over a mile was headed by the Court Evening Star, I.O.F. of which Mr. Beath was a member. The service was conducted by Rev. C.C. Claris assisted by Mr. Pearce, of Barrie. The casket was beautified by a wreath from the church, a wreath from I.O.F. and a crescent from Mr. and Mrs. John Elliott. The pallbearers were Messrs. D. Bolton, Stephen Gardner, John Elliott, Irwin Addison, John Addison and Alex. Coutts.

David married Margaret Addison on 23 Dec 1878 in Oro Twp, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. Margaret was born on 30 Sep 1854 in Scarborough Twp, York County, Ontario, Canada; died on 7 Jan 1899 in Oro Twp, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Edgar, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada.
