2001 | It seems that Christian Paul's birth has occurred prior to the 'official' marriage date given in Parish records as Jan 31 1788 or 6 July 1788, thus explains why her birth not found on IGI or other sources, except the Old Parish Records and altho many other sources indicate this is probably our Christian Paul, I cannot state this as absolutely Fact | Paul, Christian (I191)

2008 | Jan 2011 - for the moment I am presuming or taking an educated guess that James Carrell Renton's parents were a William Renton & Isabella unknown - perhaps Douglas as the name Douglas is one of the given names for James Carrell Renton & Christina Paul Wilkie's dtr. This assumption is based on cemetery records I have found for Northern Cemetery in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand - where Wm Renton and an Isabella Renton of similar age are buried with James Carrell Renton and his wife Christina Paul Wilkie Further substantiating the above statement - I found a newspaper article - from the Otago Witness newspaper describing Mr & Mrs William Renton of Castle Street, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary | Renton, William (I1716)

This assumption is based on cemetery records I have found for Northern Cemetery in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand - where Wm Renton and an Isabella Renton of similar age are buried with James Carrell Renton and his wife Christina Paul Wilkie | Isabella (I1717)

2027 | Judy Philips' comments: " I believe that it was this John who was on the census of 3 Mar 1841 at Markinch, Fife, Scotland - a post from the Fife List advises that there was a John Lochty, age 25 (rounded down) at drapers shop in Markinch. John was a merchant in Thornliebank when he died in 1854. He left a will on 13 Jan 1855 at Eastwood, Renfrewshire, Scotland. | Lochtie, John (I142)

2028 | Judy Philp research confirms Another clue: Research by Alan Grant South Queensferry Fife Scotland (his lineage - Alex Robertson & Christian Wilkie - Kinninmonths) Text of Birth record reads thus: "Dalgetty June 12 1779 was born Henry Aiton Philp Daughter to John Philp and Chrstian Lochty in Fordel Muir" On Ancestry.ca - some family trees have stated the following additional children born to William Wilkie & Henrietta Eaton Philp: William Wilkie born 11 May 1810 - Dunfermline Janet Wilkie born 01 May 1812 - Dunfermline ( this is a 2nd Janet thus possibly the first one died young) Also that John Wilkie & Christian Wilkie are twins their birth date being 22 March 1802l - Dunfermline This is unconfirmed by me and certainly my sources of IGI may not be the most accurate either. hw Research from Alan Grant South Queensferry Fife Scotland Sep 2014: Fife Death Index by FFHS (Fife Family History Society) Wilkie, Dunfermline Died April 1839 - Buried 09 Apr 1839 Wife of Wm Wilkie - Old Ground OPR 424-18 Wilkie, Dunfermline Gibb Street 05 Apr 1839 Age 59 St Margaret's UF (United Free) Church Dunfermline CH3-1232-33 | Philp, Henrietta Aiton (I594)
