Ltd 1233 - 2nd Ave S., Lethbridge, AB Pg 502 "Howard Stevenson: - written by Euphemia Stevenson Howard came from East Angus, Quebec, in March 1926 to the Craigyle District. His father was J. M. Stevenson. He bought a section of land in 1924 which was located three and one half miles West of Craigmyle, and known as the Company farm. In 1928 Howard married Euphemia Beath of the Delia district. We had one Son Ronald, born in 1934. We lived on that farm until 1939 and then moved north of Delia 1 mile, staying there for four years, and then moving west of Delia to the Hubbard farm where I still live. Howard passed away in 1963. Ronald and his Wife Betty reside on the farm with me. They have three children: Joni, Robert and Douglas. Howard served on many committees - Municipal Council, School board, church board, twelve years secretary of UFA farm supply and ten years on the local UGG board. 520 | Obiturary: Alice Marion Weeks of Castor passed away at the Red Deer Regional hospital on Monday, November 4, 1996. She was 73 years, 9 mos, 20 days. Alice Holloway was born Jan. 15, 1923 at the farm home of Wilmot and Sarah Wideman, two miles North of Fleet and lived all her life in the Fleet and Arthurdale districts. She took her schooling in the Arthurdale School. Alice's parents were John and Jessie Holloway. She had four brothers - Cliff, Jack, Bob and Dave and one sister Doris. On May 10, 1945 she was united in marriage to Austin Weeks and to this union were born 10 children; 6 boys and 4 girls whom she cherished and loved very much. Alice and Austin lived in the old farm home for 48 years and then moved West one mile to where Emil and Amelia Adolph used to live. They resided here until the time of her death. Alice was predeceased by her parents John and Jessie Holloway, infant brother Norman, infant sister Mary, brothers Clifford, Jack and Dave, sister Doris, son Richard in 1970 and daughter Irene Bartlett on Thanksgiving Day, October 14, 1996 at the age of 47 years. Funeral services were held at the Castor Community hall on Friday, November 8, 1996 at 2 pm with Rev. Kevin Van Koughnett officiating. He is cared for by his wife, Margaret Ted told me per phone conversation that he was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario Met Ted and Margaret on our Ontario September visit, 2004. Ted is now confined to bed, has spinal stenosis and unfortunately contacted a severe flu Dec, 2003, admitted to hosp, and was so ill, wasn't able to walk, thus became bedridden from then on. Home care comes in daily morning and night to meet his needs. Margaret creates a magnificent garden front and back as her therapy to keep her mind off Ted's deterioration.
