I cannot verify a George Edward Haley born to Wellington & Lottie Haley on Cdn records yet, will keep searching.
Nor can I say for sure that this entry below is Ă¢our' George Edward Haley
1901 Canadian Census, RG31, T-6428 to T-6556; Line 40 - 43 inclusive
Haley, Edward, Male, White, Head, Married, Born 24 Dec 1877, Age 23, Birthplace Ontario Rural, Irish, G. Labourer
Haley, Kate, Female, White, Wife, Married, Born 29 Sept 1877, Age 23, Birthplace Ontario Rural, Scotch,
Haley, Carmon, Male, White, Son, Single, Born 23 Mar 1898, Age 2, Birthplace Ontario Rural, Irish

I have found a WWI draft card for George Edward Haley, but record is hard to read, very blurry, states wife as Dora Haley, appears State is Illinois, birth date is May 9 1879 which doesn't match birth date of 1877 or 1878 in 1880 census.

Have found an Edward G. Haley married to Catharine M. Purcell on 29 Aug 1898 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, no parents are listed on this certificate entry, then a 1911 Census for Edward G & Catharine Haley in Medicine Hat, finally a death certificate for Edward George Haley in Wellington, BC at age 67 in 1945. Questions as to which search is more accurate to the Son George E. Haley, born about 1877 or 1878. Will continue the research.

752 1880 Census USA for Polly Ann (Hall) Westbrook states her parents were both from New York. Death Certificate names her Parents as David Hall & Elizabeth Hayes

Marriage and birth data provided to me by Bonnie Connolley, I have not verified this data

Children in the marriage are:
Polly Ann Hall, born 11 Sep 1820
Henry Hall, born 1836
George Hall, born 1837
Susan Hall, born 1845
appears to be quite a gap between First born Polly Ann Hall and her siblings. Wonder if there were different spouses involved

Mrs. Alexander Coutts 1925
Catherine Beath, widow of the late Alexander Coutts, died on Wednesday night at the home of her son, R. D. Coutts, Midhurst, in her seventy-sixth year. Mrs. Coutts had been in good health up to Friday of last week when she became ill. On Tuesday she developed pneumonia which proved fatal. The late Mrs. Coutts was born in Whitby Township, near Oshawa, her father being Robert Beath. Forty-nine years ago she married Alexander Coutts, who died in 1922, and all her married life was spent on the farm in which she died. She was held in the highest regard by all who knew her. Four sons survive: R.D. Coutts, Midhurst; A. B. Coutts, Barrie; David A. and James D. Hughenden, Alta. There are also one sister, Miss Euphemia Beath of Barrie, and three brothers, W.D. Beath, Toronto; James B., Vancouver, and Robert of Oshawa. Three weeks ago Mrs. Coutts attended the funeral of her eldest sister, Mrs. Isabella McKenzie, who died in Bolton. The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon from the home to the United Church Midhurst, and thence to Midhurst Cemetery for burial.

Barrie Newspaper

Dr. Thomas Beath (1923)
A.B. Coutts was in Oshawa on Monday, attending the funeral of his uncle, Dr. Thomas Beath, who died in Toronto General Hospital, Friday, August 17, aged 56 years. Dr. Beath was the youngest brother of Mrs. Alex. Coutts, Midhurst. For a number of years, he practised in Winnipeg, being a highly successful surgeon. Finally his health broke down under the strain of overwork and he came East four years ago. After a year in Toronto he went to North Carolina for the benefit of his health and had lived there for the last three years. Interment was made in Oshawa Cemetery, the funeral being held from the old family home in Whitby Twp.

*** - From James & Jane's marriage cert. Jane's Maiden name is Todd, she was married prev to Mr. McArthur - thus perhaps Ann Todd on 1901 census is her Sister - and ancestry.ca has erroneously transcribed this???? Also in 1896 at James & Jane's marriage - Jane's age was 32 - James 19

I cannot find death records for this individual on Scotlands People nor a 1911 census in the Clackmannan area - thus probability of immigration to another location appears possible. Jan 28 2012 hw
