    • Celebrating Fifty Years
      Congratulations to Jim & Susan Bedson, who celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at Burma Park with family and friends on July 8th, 2006
      A potluck dinner was enjoyed by over 150 guests at the park with Mother Nature cooperating beatuifully.
      Louise Guidolin read a personalized poem to her parents and daughter in law Brandi Bedson read a joke on the secrets of a long marriage
      Jim and Susan were presented medals for their 50 years together, as well as certification from Premier Ralph Klein, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, MLA Doug Griffiths and the Lieutenant Governor.
      Since Jim and Susan exchanged wedding vows on June 5 1956 - a legacy of family has been created. A majority of their family attended including: Harry and Sherri (Straub) Bedson of Lacombe with children Nicki (Kevin), Josh (Alyssa) and Kacey: Bill and Roylene Bedson of Coronation; Ralph and Brenda Bedson of High River with children Erin, Trent and Kelton; Tracie and Virginia (Bedson) Guidolin of Whitehorse, Yukon with Son Calahan; Lyle and Louise (Bedson) Guidolin of Red Deer with children Rianna and Dallas; and Chub and Brandi Bedson with children Jesse, Janelle and Jeremy of Fox Creek.
      Missing was granddaughter Charlene Guidolin and her daugher, Emma of Red Deer and also Marg and Carl Deem of Drumheller and their Son Michael (Lindsey) and their two children Rachelle and Zach from Calgary.
      Special guests travelled from near and far to spend the day and weekend visiting and sending best wishes to the couple

      In loving memory, the families of Susanna Belle Bedson announce her peaceful passing on August 15, 2010 with her family at her side at the Castor Hospital.
      Mother Sue was born the 9th child of 14 children to Milton & Pearl Strome on October 26, 1931 in the Castor Hospital. She attended Beaverdale School north of Castor from 1937 -1 946.
      Susan spread her wings and left the area to reside and work in Calgary at the Grace Hospital, then returned home to be employed at the Castor Hospital.
      A short time later she worked as a cook on George Butterwick's farm, located near Brownfield.. It was true love when she met the hired hand, Jim Bedson. They were married a couple months later on June 5 1956 and resided on Jim's homestead, four miles north of Brownfield, "River Road Ranch". They settled there until 2008, at which time they moved into Coronation.
      Susan graced their ranch with her love, warmth, and adventurous spirit. She provided a humble home for her husband Jim and their 7 blessed children: Margaret (Carl) Deem, of Drumheller; Harry (Sherri) Bedson of Lacombe; Bill (Roylene) Bedson of Coronation; Ralph (Brenda) Bedson of High River; Virginia (Tracie) Guidolin of Whitehorse, Yukon; Louise (Lyle) Guidolin of Red Deer and Chub (Brandi) Bedson of Fox Creek.
      Susan's home was always open to all family, friends and neighbours, whom she shared her neverending generosity and hospitality. She will always be remembered for her devotion to the community serving on numerous boards and committees.
      Mother Sue's nurturing garden will always bloom in her 14 grandchildren, Michael (Lindsey), Nicki (Kevin), Josh, Kacey, Erin, Trent, Kelton, Calahan, Charlene, Rianna, Dallas, Jesse, Janelle and Jeremy.
      Her face always lit up when in the presence of her 5 great granchildren, Rachel, Zachary, Cody, Emma and Maxx. She will also be remembered by her brothers and sisters, Wesley Strome, Hazel Annette, Elsina Strome, Dora Morasch, Violet Clark, Ernest Strome, Daniel Strome, Beatrice Tschritter & Ruby Lopetinsky. Susan was predeceased b y her Parents, Milton & Pearl; her siblings Mary Ann Pederson, Clarence Strome, Henry Strome & Walter Strome.

      ** Susan had a daughter born 1950 in Grace Hospital, Calgary AB - and as she was single, she gave her dtr up for adoption - later in life they found one another - the dtr being Girl Strome, who was later adopted by Parents unknown and named Margaret - who married Carl Deem.
