Obituary: Rouse, Lavell E. At McMaster Medical centre on Friday, December 2, 1983, Lavell E. Rouse, in his 85th year. Beloved Husband of the former Lida M. Best. Dear Father of Dr. Wayne Rouse of Hamilton, Dr. Glen Rouse of Vancouver B.C. and predeceased by one daughter, Patrician. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Clayton, Alan and Michelle Rouse and Shauna and Lorna Woolley. Mr. Rouse was a Principal and Superintendant with the Board of Education for 44 years prior to his retirement and was Past Master of Ancient Land Marks Lodge, an affiliate member of Acocia Lodge, secretary of Masters and Wardens Association. He was also a member and elder of Westdale United Church and a founding member of the Christian Education there. Friends will be received by the family at the Swackhamer & Hilts-Blachford & Wray Funeral Home, 1341 Main Street West (opposite McMaster) from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Sunday, December 4, 1983. Service in the Chapel on Monday at 1 pm. Interment in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. At the request of the family the casket will remain closed.
