      Death Excerpt: 1918 Parish 463, Entry #29
"On 5 December 1918, at South Street, Milnathort, Parish of Orwell, William Wilkie, aged 81 (poss. age mistake here - HW), Shepherd retired, son of Charles Wilkie, Shepherd, and Agnes Paton, both deceased. Informant was Christina Todd, Niece, Hattonburn. *** Tis unusual that a wife, family were not mentioned, nor the cause of Death.
Upon downloading copy of death registration for William Wilkie - there was a notation of corrected entry - thus downloaded that
which states Cause of Death was Heart Failure but no mention of his wife or ex wife.

Upon searching for a death certificate for his wife ( ex wife Jessie Howie) she is registered under the name Jessie Wilkie - widow of William Wilkie. I cannot find any children born to this couple, as marriage occurred in 1868 - by 1871 Wm is with his Mother, & Jessie with her side of the family. Haven't found any chn born in the Leslie area between dates of 1868-1871 either. Another challenge

Sep 2014 - Received an email from Mr Grant stating: (Alan Grant grantaland@me.com )

William Wilkie & Jessie Howie had a Son - Named Oliver Howie Wilkie b 09 Nov 1869 at Orwell Kinross. needs confirmation
