      Weeks - Smith
A very pretty wedding took place on Wednesday at 12 o'clock, noon, at the home of Mrs. Janie Smith, Middleton, a short distance from town when her daughter Evalena, became the bride of Mr. John Arthur Weeks of the same township.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. E. Kerr, pastor of the Tillsonburg Methodist Church, the bridal party standing under an arch of evergreens decorated with pink and white carnations and banked with flowers.
The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. F. W. Smith, and wore a most becoming gown of brown taffeta silk, trimmed with silk all over lace over white satin, and veil with orange blossoms. Little Miss Beulah Smith, niece of the bride, was a charming flower girl in embroidered mull, carrying a basket of carnations. Mrs. Charles Honsberger, cousin of the bride, played the wedding march.
After congratulations dinner was served in the dining room, which was prettily decorated with white streamers and carnations.
The groom's gift to the bride was a crescent set with pearls, to the flower girl a gold bracelet and to the pianist, an amethyst brooch.
Mr. and Mrs. Weeks left amid showers of rice and confetti on the M. C, R. train at 4 o'clock for points east. On their return they will reside on the groom's farm in Middleton, near town.

Note: this article names the groom as John Arthur, family files say John Albert (hw)
