Miss Euphemia Beath 1926
After a long illness, Miss Euphemia Dick Beath died on Saturday morning, Feb. 8, at the home of her nephew, A. B. Coutts, Ross St. Miss Beath was in her 69th year and was a native of East Whitby Township. For a number of years she lived with her brother David at Dalaton, later with another brother Thomas at Winnipeg, and then with her sister, Mrs. Alexander Coutts of Midhurst. Since June last she had made her home with her nephew in Barrie and during the greater part of that time was confined to her bed. Of her father's family of four daughters and five sons but three survive, viz., Robert of East Whitby, William D. of Toronto, and James of Vancouver.
A funeral service was held at the residence of Mr. Coutts on Monday afternoon., Rev. Ad. D. Cornett and Rev. S. H. Greenslade officiating, and the body was taken on the evening train to Oshawa, where interment was made on Tuesday afternoon. The pall bearers were: Morley Beath, R.D. Coutts, A.B. Coutts, W. L. Russell, Geo. Coutts and Donald Bonney
