Mrs. Weeks passes
Courtland - The death of Mrs. Andrew Weeks, occurred on Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cecil Sherman and Mr. Sherman following a few weeks of serious illness. She was formerly Mary Jane Anscombe, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Anscombe, Tillsonburg, and was in her 69th year. Surviving, besides her daughter, Mrs. Sherman, is a son Charles Weeks, Tillsonburg. and seven grandchildren, one great grandson and two sisters, Mrs. F. Franklin, Michigan, and Mrs. Earl Fuulds, Tillsonburg. Her husband predeceased her six years ago. The remains are resting at the home of her son, Charles Weeks, Egin Street, Tillsonburg until Saturday afternoon at 2;30 when the funeral will be held. Interment will be in the Tillsonburg Cemetery.

GERALD 'ZEKE' SHERMAN
Peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Monday January 5, 2003, **with his family by his side, Gerald "Zeke" Lewis Sherman of Courtland at the age of 82 years. Wonderful husband and best friend of 60 years to Greta (Hayward) Sherman. Zeke was an excellent father to Marlene Knack and her husband Bob, Cheryle Ann Palmer and her husband Larry, and Robert Sherman and his wife Jo-Ann. Loving grandfather to Bryon Carson and hsi wife Kim, Glen Carson, Carolyn Carson Dunseith and Gary Wells, Sherri Palmer and husband Wray Goodwin, Mandy Sherman and fiance Dan Gaulin, Jerry Sherman, Richard Dunseith and Richard and Terri Knack. Robert and Cathy Knack, and Cheryl and Paul Wardle. Great Grandfather to Trevor and Adam Carson, Brandon, Main, Baily, Emily and Cameron. Loving brother to Donna Long and Jean Bowlby. Brother in law to Bob and Donna Mae Hayward, Corrin Hayward and Don McQuiggan. Zeke was predeceased by his parents Cecil Sherman and Aletta (Weeks), two granddaughters Judy Lynn Carson (1961) and Teresa Leanne Palmer (1975); sisters Dorothy Marquette, Ruth Gray, Marie Sands, Margaret McQuiggan, Norm and Dorothy Hawyard, Marie and Mac Hicks and Jack Hayward. A Royal Canadian Legion service will commence on Wednesday evening, January 7, 2004 at 6;30 pm. The family will receive friends at Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg on Thursday, January 8, 2004 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held in the Ostranders Funeral Home chapel on Friday, January 9,2004 at 1:30 pm. Pastor Bryan Bucher officiating, Interment at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to Zeke's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Tillsonburg, District Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit or the Children's Miracle Network.
