    Obituary:
    Born February 7, 1920 in the Castor Hospital, Clarence was the
    eldest son born to Milton and Pearl Strome. He attended the rural school of Beaverdale for the first nine years and then took part of highschool in Castor riding horseback, biking and many times walking the five miles each way. He helped with the farm work at home and then spent a few years working as a hired hand on other farms. Clarence drove truck for several years and later took up employment at Schnell's Shop in Castor. He worked there for a good number of years, mostly fixing and repairing farm equipment. he continued to work for Dave Clark after Dave purchased the business from Schnells. Besides this Clarence had a bit of land of his own and he loved to go and spend time putting in his crop and working on his tractors and equipment. Clarence spent his entire life in the Castor area and will be missed by many people.

    Clarence died in Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital Castor on Saturday, July 10, 1993 at the age of 73 years.

    Clarence was known and most skilled in repairing any piece of equipment. He collected antique trucks, and tractors which were sold at a public auction after his death.

    Clarence lived with his sister Elsina in their parents home in Castor.
