    Edith Evelyn Ley was born August 5, 1909 to Albert and Jane Caseley at Caseleyville, AB. She got her education at Pleasant Heights School. She grew up in a large family, so her household tasks started at an early age. After completing her schooling, she worked for different neighbour ladies especially at harvest time cooking meals for threshers.
    In 1931 she married William (Bill) Ley and moved to the Kirkpatrick lake district where they enjoyed farming and started a family. In 1938 they bought and moved to the George Ley farm in the Leeds District wehre they raised 5 children.
    In 1974 they bought a house in Veteran where they enjoyed their retirement years.
    Edith enjoyed her flowers in her yard and loved taking care of them. She belonged to the Veteran Seniors Club and enjoyed the weekly card games. Her hospitality was always open for a cup of tea and homemade cookies, which many people enjoyed.
    In June 2002 Edith moved to the Long Term Care in Consort due to failing health and in Jan of 2003 she moved to the Assisted Living in Coronation until she passed away at the Coronation Health Centre July 1, 2003. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
    Edith was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1999; son Earl in 1998, son Harvey in 1987, grandson Robert in 1992; her parents; five brothers Harry, Edwin, Albert, Victor, and Cecil, four sisters Irene, Lucy, Edna, and Ina. She is survived by 2 sons Wesley of Veteran, Marvin of Edmonton, one daughter Leona of Calgary, one grandson Garry (Terry lynn) of Red Deer, one sister Marion (Maurice)_ Lamontagne of Coronation, 2 sisters in law Dorothy Caseley of Leslieville and Sadie Caseley (ALex) of Coronation and a host of neices, nephews and friends

    Lived in the Veteran area all his life, working at various farms and oil companies. Returning to his home place to take over the farm in 1974, Harvey enjoyed fishing and rodeos and was well liked and loved by all. He was always willing to give a helping hand when ever he was needed.     Rob attended Veteran School from kindergarten to grade six. In July 1984 he moved to Coronation with his mother and younger brother. He attended Coronation school until completion of Grade eleven. On July 1, 1989, Robert left Coronation for Smith, Alberta where he worked at a sawmill for a short time. Later that summer he joined his mother and brother in Lac la Biche, AB. There he completed his High School at J.A. Williams High School (JAWS), graduating on May 26, 1990.
    Rob started working at an early age. During his years of Junior & Senior high school, Rob worked at snow shovelling, janitorial duties, grass cutting, painting, baby sitting, sawmill worker and in an army camp kitchen. While in grade 12, he worked as a studen reporter for the Lac La Biche Post and for Agape photographics.
    He attended the Alberta Vocational Centre in Lac la Biche for part of one year. It was there that he developed the love for Rehabilitation work. In may of 1991 he started working for Cosmos Enterprises. In jan 1992 Rob moved back to Veteran where he worked various jobs. On July 18, 1992 he married Nicole Stevens.. They lived together at Lac La Biche until Sept 12, 1992 when they moved to Chilliwack, B.C. to start a new life together.
    Rob's hobbies were many. In younger years he loved music, horses, writing stories and making things. In his teen years he loved fishing, camping, walking, photography, writing stores and poems and playing his guitar. He belonged to Cubs, Scouts, and the Veteral Full Gospel Youth Group.
