This community was saddened when it learned of the death of Mrs. Beath at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alex. Coutts, June 18, (1914). Deceased was ninety three years old. Catherine Beath, widow of the late Alexander Coutts, died on Wednesday night at the home of her son, R. D. Coutts, Midhurst, in her seventy-sixth year. Mrs. Coutts had been in good health up to Friday of last week when she became ill. On Tuesday she developed pneumonia which proved fatal. The late Mrs. Coutts was born in Whitby Township, near Oshawa, her father being Robert Beath. Forty-nine years ago she married Alexander Coutts, who died in 1922, and all her married life was spent on the farm in which she died. She was held in the highest regard by all who knew her. Four sons survive: R.D. Coutts, Midhurst; A. B. Coutts, Barrie; David A. and James D. Hughenden, Alta. There are also one sister, Miss Euphemia Beath of Barrie, and three brothers, W.D. Beath, Toronto; James B., Vancouver, and Robert of Oshawa. Three weeks ago Mrs. Coutts attended the funeral of her eldest sister, Mrs. Isabella McKenzie, who died in Bolton. Mr. David Beath (1906)
On Sunday, all that was mortal of the late David Beath was laid to rest in the Congregational Cemetery. Mr. Beath, who was in his fifty-fourth year has been indisposed for over a year. His demise on Thursday, although expected, still came as a shock to his wife and family, who now mourn his loss deeply. Mr. Beath moved to Oro nineteen years ago from Whitby. He was an active, energetic man and took part in all live topics of the day affecting his own community or township. He was township auditor for several years and on two occasions aspired for the office of councillor. Mr Beath was twice married: five children by his first wife survive him and two children are left with the second wife to mourn the loss of a devoted father and husband. The funeral took place on Sunday. The cortege, extending over a mile was headed by the Court Evening Star, I.O.F. of which Mr. Beath was a member. The service was conducted by Rev. C.C. Claris assisted by Mr. Pearce, of Barrie. The casket was beautified by a wreath from the church, a wreath from I.O.F. and a crescent from Mr. and Mrs. John Elliott. The pallbearers were Messrs. D. Miss Euphemia Beath 1926
After a long illness, Miss Euphemia Dick Beath died on Saturday morning, Feb. 8, at the home of her nephew, A. B. Coutts, Ross St. Miss Beath was in her 69th year and was a native of East Whitby Township. For a number of years she lived with her brother David at Dalaton, later with another brother Thomas at Winnipeg, and then with her sister, Mrs. Alexander Coutts of Midhurst. Since June last she had made her home with her nephew in Barrie and during the greater part of that time was confined to her bed. Of her father's family of four daughters and five sons but three survive, viz., Robert of East Whitby, William D. of Toronto, and James of Vancouver.
A funeral service was held at the residence of Mr. Coutts on Monday afternoon., Rev. Ad. D. Cornett and Rev. S. H. Greenslade officiating, and the body was taken on the evening train to Oshawa, where interment was made on Tuesday afternoon. The pall bearers were: Morley Beath, R.D. Coutts, A.B. Coutts, W. L. Russell, Geo. Coutts and Donald Bonney7. A.B. Coutts was in Oshawa on Monday, attending the funeral of his uncle, Dr. Thomas Beath, who died in Toronto General Hospital, Friday, August 17, aged 56 years. Dr. Beath was the youngest brother of Mrs. Alex. Coutts, Midhurst. For a number of years, he practised in Winnipeg, being a highly successful surgeon. Finally his health broke down under the strain of overwork and he came East four years ago. After a year in Toronto he went to North Carolina for the benefit of his health and had lived there for the last three years. Interment was made in Oshawa Cemetery, the funeral being held from the old family home in Whitby Twp.

Howard came from East Angus, Quebec, in March 1926 to the Craigyle District. His father was J. M. Stevenson. He bought a section of land in 1924 which was located three and one half miles West of Craigmyle, and known as the Company farm.
In 1928 Howard married Euphemia Beath of the Delia district. We had one Son Ronald, born in 1934. We lived on that farm until 1939 and then moved north of Delia 1 mile, stahying there for four years, and then moving west of Delia to the Hubbard farm where I still live. Howard passed away in 1963. Ronald and his Wife Betty reside on the farm with me. They have three children: Joni, Robert and Douglas.
Howard served on many committees - Municipal Council, School board, church board, twelve years secretary of UFA farm supply and ten years on the local UGG board. While he was on the UGG b oard, the Delia Curling rink came into being. ...."

Ronald Beath Stevenson passed away peacefully on May 12th, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Ron was born on the Company Farm January 25th, 1934 near Craigmyle, Alberta and this is where he spent the first few years of his life. His family moved twice before finally settling at the family farm near Delia which he remained at for the rest of his days. After completing high school he attended Olds College for Agriculture and began his life long career of farming.
Ron married Elizabeth Cordiner Smith on November 9th, 1957 in Craigmyle; they spent nearly 56 years together prior to her passing on October 14th, 2013. Ron was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved teasing his children and grandchildren. He was an active member of the Elks for many years. Ron enjoyed being outside, working on vehicles and attending his grandchildren's sporting events, Christmas concerts and awards ceremonies.
Ron was predeceased by; his beloved wife, Betty Stevenson, his father, Howard Stevenson, his mother, Euphemia Stevenson, and his granddaughter, Kyla Stevenson
Ron leaves to mourn his four children; Joni (George), Robbie (Cheryl), Douglas (Cathy) and Janet (Dave), his eight grandchildren; Trista (Chris), Kirsten (Ryan), Dalyn, Ryley (Allison), Meghan (Justin), Shane, Kirby and Kaeleigh, and sister-in-law Sandy (Will).
We will all miss Ron's teasing nature and the special nicknames that he had for his children and grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered every day and missed by all that knew him. He has now been reunited with Betty, his loving wife. There will be a celebration of life for Ron and Betty at a later date.
