    Obituary:
    Doreen Esther Quaife of Rimbey, passed away suddenly on July 11, 1989 at the age of 69. Born in Newcastle, England, she came to Canada as a young girl to Taber where she was raised and received her schooling.
    Doreen was united in marriage to Stanley Quaife in Taber on October 1, 1939. In 1947 they moved to a farm in the Rimbey district, later retiring to the town where she resided until her passing. Doreen was an active member of the Anglican Church in Rimbey and in the Rimbey Happy Gang Choir.
    Predeceased by a son Terry, in 1985, she is survived by her loving husband Stanley of Rimbey, eight sons; Wayne and Lee of Rocky Mountain House, Keith and Carol of Edmonton, Leo and Joyce of Olds, Brian and Darlene, Kenneth and Barbara of Red Deer, David of Delburne, Ralph and Brenda of Medicine Hat,, Blair and Beverly of Whitecourt. Two daughters Penny and Bert Rumsey of Red Deer, Dorothy and Wally Banovic of Sylvan Lake and one daughter -in-law Melanie Quaife of Rimbey. 26 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. One brother, Bill Lord of Taber, three sisters, Essy Archer of Lethbridge,Jenny Dunn of Taber, Babs Treber of Lethbridge and numerous neices and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family and a host of friends.
    Funeral services were held from the Rimbey United Church, Rimbey on Friday, July 14, with Reverend Canon J. R. Hearne officiating. Interment followed in the Rimbey West Cemetery. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Wilsons Funeral Chapel of Lacombe and Rimbey were entrusted with the arrangements.

    Heather Williams visited Taber Memorial Cemetery, Aug. 21, 2002 and there isn't a marker for any of the Quaife Family graves, but did locate the spot where the graves are located.



    Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Stan Quaife in the death of their baby at the age on one day. Funeral took place at the cemetery on Friday afternoon with the Rev. P.W. O. Hill officiating. (Anglican Minister)

    Quaife - Terry Lee "Happy" Quaife of Rimbey passed away suddenly on March
    10, 1985 at the age of 29 years.
    Born in Rimbey on June 22, 1955, Terry was raised there and received his education in Rimbey until October of 1974 when he was united in marriage to Melanie Marek also of Rimbey. The couple then moved to Calgary where Terry received his journeyman papers as a floor covering installer. During his time in Calgary he was employed by Aldon Floors Ltd. In 1981 Terry and Melanie moved to Rimbey where they cooperatively opened their present business, All-Structures with brother -in-law Garry Marek. Terry worked and resided in Rimbey until his passing.
    He is survived by his loving wife Melanie of Rimbey, one son Kristopher and one daughter Erin Marie at home; his parents Stan and Doreen Quaife of Red Deer; eight brothers and their families; Wayne of Rocky Mountain House, Leo of Olds, Ralph, David, Ken and Brian all of Red Deer, Keith of Sherwood Park; two sisters, Dorothy of Windsor, Ont., and Penny and her family of Red Deer; his father-in-law Mr. Chester Marek of Bluffton and his mother-in-law Mrs. Doreen Glanfield of Red Deer, his partner and brother-in-law Garry Marek of Rimbey; two sisters in-law, Sharon of New Serepta and Robin of Vancouver, B.C.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 13, 1985 at 2 pm at Rimbey United church with Rev. J. R. Hearne officiating. Internment followed in the Rimbey West Cemetery.
    Wilson's funeral Chapel of Lacombe and Rimbey in charge of the arrangements.
