    A.B. Coutts was in Oshawa on Monday, attending the funeral of his uncle, Dr. Thomas Beath, who died in Toronto General Hospital, Friday, August 17, aged 56 years. Dr. Beath was the youngest brother of Mrs. Alex. Coutts, Midhurst. For a number of years, he practised in Winnipeg, being a highly successful surgeon. Finally his health broke down under the strain of overwork and he came East four years ago. After a year in Toronto he went to North Carolina for the benefit of his health and had lived there for the last three years. Interment was made in Oshawa Cemetery, the funeral being held from the old family home in Whitby Twp.
