Notes |
Searching the Free BMD records for New Zealand, came across a marriage:
1911 - Groom William Wilkie Sinclair - Bride Jane Frances Higgins - "Reg # is 6114
Seems a very possible match
Same database, found a Death - William Wilkie Sinclair - 1918 Age 40 yrs, Reg #11400
Unable to find a grave location - I checked one site on WWI memorials to soldiers, but his name wasn't found there. HW Jan 2011
I cannot search for children as we are just now at the 100 yr for birth records accessiblity for the year 1911 HW
Birth database search - gave William Wilkie Sinclair birth 1878, Reg 5700
May 2016 research:
Wanganui Chronicle newspaper - 02 Oct 1918, Pg 4
Deaths:
Sinclair, - On the 1st inst. at his residence, No. 7 Serjeant St., William Wilkie, dearly beloved husband of Jean Sinclair, aged 40 years R I P
This seems a positive fit - as wife was Jane Frances Higgins - thus Jane / Jean used interchangeably.
