      James Wilkie - Age 14
      Charles Wilkie - Age 12
      Ralph Wilkie - Age 8

Sometime between 1903 & 1904 - James, Charles & Ralph Wilkie immigrated to Springhill Nova Scotia Canada with Aunt Mary (Boyd) McDonald and cousins Thomas McDonald & George Colder * (Calder)
I have not found the Passenger list, naming Ralph or Wm Ralph Wilkie arriving in Canada in 1904 but a Ralph is recorded on the 1911 Cdn census, stating immigration year 1902. Seems unusual if 2 brothers were with their Aunt & Uncle, James & Mary McDonald, that they would leave one brother in Scotland

James D. McDonald, Ralph Wilkie & Charles Wilkie, altho occupation coalminers, were on strike at this time; this event is well documented in Nova Scotia, Miners historical events etc. The American Association of Miners or Union at the time, were paying the strikers some wages during this conflict, but eventually the Union had leadership woes and the Mine was overtaken by another company with different management styles, thus the conflict ended.
