Lena Beath taught school at Sunbeam for three years, then spent eight years as Missionary-teacher in Angola, West Africa. She later married Austin Whitman and they live on the farm which was the homestead of Lena's Uncle Dave Elliott. They have one daughter Elinor, who trained as a Nursing Adie and worked for some time at the Hanna Hospital, until her marriage to Gordon Budd, of Bittern Lake, Alberta. Their Son, Ralph Whitman, married Maria Malenko in Dec 1969 and they have a daughter Leah Marie and make their home in Delia but continue to farm the home place ...."
